Get to Know Sydney

Sydney Feldman recently graduated with a BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University in Southern California, though she is a true midwestern girl at heart. She is delighted to have returned to her home city of Chicago to pursue a career in theatre--and also to enjoy some authentic deep dish pizza!

Sydney learned the meaning of “the show must go on” at the ripe age of 6 when her mic pack fell down around her ankles during a performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and hasn’t left the stage since. 

Now a mature actor, Sydney is fascinated by abstract theatre, theatre that embraces the body and movement, and is also a sucker for the classics! She recently spent a summer abroad in Ireland studying the Irish playwrights and fell head over heels for Samuel Beckett and his unique way with words. 

Since graduation, Sydney has acted in Greenman Theatre Troupe's 8-to-the-Bar Short Play Festival, and recently performed as Marie in Gwydion Theatre Company's Perfect Pie at the Greenhouse Theater Center in Lincoln Park. She is also building her customer service and theatre administration skills as a Box Office Associate at the Writers Theatre in Glencoe.
